Brochure and accuracy
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the online listing, website and all advertising material is accurate at the time of publication, we cannot be held responsible for changes or matters outside our control. All information is given in good faith, but no warranties are made regarding information provided, either written or oral.
Arrival and departure
Check in is available from 4.00pm on the day of arrival. Check-in times outside of those specified must be confirmed with us prior to arrival. We ask that you please vacate Manoir Beaulieu by 11.00am on the morning of your departure.
Reservations, booking and payment
Please note the cancellation policy below before committing to a reservations our dough, smoke + fire weekend. Guests can either pay the quoted amount in full or a 50% non-refundable deposit is needed to secure your booking. This would be fully refunded if the booking is cancelled within 24 hours of booking being made.
Full payment for a dough, smoke + fire weekend is due before or 8 weeks prior to arrival and we accept the following payment types: Bank transfers (details to be provided), Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, Maestro, & American Express
Travel insurance
You agree to ensure that each member of your party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance (including cancellation, flight delays, loss and damage to baggage and other property) and health insurance (including evacuation and repatriation coverage)
Damage and breakages
Please take care of our home. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly. We do not normally charge for small breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.
Please do not apply or use fake tan in our bedrooms and bathrooms. Any linens, towels and soft furnishings stained with fake tan will be charged for. If professional cleaning is required to remove stains caused by fake tan products you will be expected to pay the bill. Similarly, please wash off sun cream before bed at night to avoid damage to linens and soft furnishings. Any staining that cannot be removed will be charged for.
We reserve the right to supply an additional invoice for breakages should we deem it necessary. In this circumstance receipts for the repair will be supplied to the guest and should be paid for within 5 working days without exception.
Service and booking types
dough, smoke + fire provides barbecue tuition services, as per the descriptions on this website and any special arrangements made at the time of booking (as confirmed in writing). dough, smoke + fire provide the ingredients, the equipment, the venue and tuition.
‘Group bookings’ are defined as a group of friends or family who already know one another booking all five of the allocated bedrooms at Manoir Beaulieu for the duration of the dough, smoke + fire weekend and course. No other external persons will be present within Manoir Beaulieu or the barbecue course during their designated ‘group booking’ stay.
‘Individual bookings’ are defined as an individual person or a couple booking one of the allocated bedrooms within Manoir Beaulieu for the duration of the dough, smoke + fire weekend and course. It’s understood that these individuals will be sharing the main house, bathrooms, and facilities with other people (potentially unknown to the individual). Individuals agree to this when making an individual booking with us.
Resale
dough, smoke+ fire do not permit the commercial resale of their services, unless expressly agreed in writing.
Participants
All class participants must be aged 16 or older unless otherwise agreed in writing with dough, smoke + fire. Participants aged from 16 to 18 must be accompanied for the duration of the weekend by a parent or guardian. The accompanying adult must also pay for a three night weekend either within the same room or additional.
Courses and ingredients
All menus given within this website are to give potential guests an idea of what food and ingredients will be cooked throughout a dough, smoke + fire weekend. Very occasionally it is necessary for us to make alterations to the content of classes and events or to the ingredients that will be used. We reserve the right to make such alterations as necessary.
Where changes are made that are deemed significantly different to the advertised or agreed class material, dough, smoke + fire will notify clients in advance of the class. For minor alterations we will make a suitable substitution.
All classes and courses advertised on this website or within any printed material are subject to alteration and discontinuation without notice.
Safety and behaviour
Guests who book the weekend course are responsible for their own behaviour, and the behaviour of any other participants they bring to the course. Any guest who behaves in an unsafe manner, is in an unfit state to participate or whose behaviour affects other participants’ enjoyment may be asked to leave the premises immediately. If this occurs the fee paid for the weekend will be forfeited and no refund will be made.
Cancellation by the guest
We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us, especially if we have turned away potential guests in favour of someone who has already booked and who then cancels. We do, however, appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can happen, and we try to be as sympathetic and helpful as possible in such cases.
In the event of a cancellation up to 90 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival, we will retain the 50% non-refundable deposit and waive the additional 50% balance.
If you cancel your reservation within 90 days of the scheduled date of arrival you will be liable for the full reservation price. Guests failing to arrive, without notification, will be responsible to a charge equivalent to the total reservation price.
We take all bookings in good faith, as we are unable to judge reasons for change, cancellation or non- arrival, guests are reminded that no exceptions to the above conditions will be made and that any booking made with Manoir Beaulieu for accommodation, goods or services that are pre-booked (verbal or written) forms a legally binding contract. For this reason, we advise that you take out a suitable insurance product to cover against unexpected costs such as cancellation fees. In addition, we may take legal action, through the Courts, to recover any outstanding debts.
Cancellation due to Covid-19
In light of the recent global pandemic we have put in place specific terms and conditions, should you not be able to travel to us due to Covid-19 on your booked dates. For this you agree to ensure that each member of your party is covered by comprehensive travel insurance product prior to booking with us. If you have paid your 50% non-refundable deposit, or total balance and are then unable to travel due to government restrictions on travel being in place between France and your country of residence, we will move your stay to a mutually agreeable date within 6 months of your original booked date, subject to availability.
Should you decide not to travel, for personal reasons (eg. with no government order in place), then our standard cancellation policy is applicable (as per above). Should your dates be moved from low to high season, payment of the difference will be required to secure your dates. We are unable to refund the difference if your stay moves from high to low season.
Cancellation by us
Should it become necessary for us to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full. Our liability will not extend beyond these conditions.
Car parking
Car parking is available for guests’ use within the grounds – in front of Manoir Beaulieu and is private. We have a gate that will be closed at night and cars parked here are at owners’ risk.
Keys
You will be provided with your own set of front door and bedroom keys during your stay. This gives you access to the main house, barn and grounds. Lost keys will be charged at €15.00 per set.
Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.
Lost property
We are happy to return items that have been left following departure. However, there will be a minimum charge of €10.00 to cover postage and packaging.
Missing items
We reserve the right to charge for items missing from our rooms.
Pets
We are unable to accommodate pets, so please do not bring your pets with you.
Prices
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. This does not affect bookings already made.
Smoking
Smoking is NOT permitted within any part of Manoir Beaulieu, the garden, grounds, woodland or park. Please note that offending guests may be asked to leave immediately and may be liable for professional cleaning of any rooms and any outstanding balance of nights booked but not taken through early departure.
Using the pool (open May – Sept)
Our gorgeous pool is yours to use exclusively during your stay at Manoir Beaulieu. We will clean the pool during your stay every morning during the hours of 7.00-7.30am and respectively ask you to not use the pool after 11.00pm. The jets will come on periodically and overnight the water levels can drop ahead of the morning clean. Strictly all drinks around the pool must be placed in the plastic glasses provided.
Personal data
When you make a purchase through this website (or by telephone or email) we collect and store information that is required to process your payment, to plan and deliver the service, and to meet our legal requirements to regulatory bodies with oversight of our operations. We pass information to our credit/debit card company for the purposes of payment processing but we do not retain any of your card details.
If you opt-in to receiving marketing mailings we will store your details on a list with a 3rd party email marketing company (Mailchimp). You can withdraw your consent to receiving marketing mailings at any time and your details will be removed from this list. We do not add your details to any marketing database unless you specifically opt-in, and we never share any personal data with 3rd parties, apart from the exceptions mentioned above.
We take care to store all customer data securely, on password protected terminal and servers, and with encryption where appropriate. We will notify you if we ever suffer a data theft or data security breach. You have the right to request a copy of the data we hold on you. You have the right to request erasure of data we hold on you, with which we will comply apart from where it would contravene our legal responsibilities.
Termination policy
Manoir Beaulieu reserve the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, an individual’s stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others (please note that non-compliance of our non smoking policy may constitute termination). In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, no refunds will be made.
Force majure
dough, smoke + fire at Manoir Beaulieu shall not be in breach of this Agreement if it does not provide the services under this Agreement, and it shall be entitled to cancel a booking if it is no longer able to provide the accommodation, due to one or more of the following circumstances:
- Manoir Beaulieu is closed due to fire, alteration, redecoration or national emergency by order of any public authority or any reason beyond our control
- There is a failure to supply the property with gas, electricity or water outside of the our control
- Fire, lightning, explosion, riot or civil commotion, malicious damage, storm, tempest, flood, burst pipes, earthquakes, or impact resulting in Manoir Beaulieu being unable to provide the booked accommodation
If any one of the above events occur, Manoir Beaulieu will do its best to avoid any inconvenience and will return any payments made.
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. You acknowledge and agree that all intellectual property rights (including, but not limited to, copyrights (including rights in software), trademarks, database rights, patents and inventions) in and relating to the service are owned by us and our licensors or contractors. Nothing in this agreement operates to transfer any such intellectual property rights to you.
We reserve the right to assign or sub-contract any of our rights and obligations under this agreement without notice to you. If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions shall nevertheless remain in full force and effect.
